Zusammenfassung: We are pleased to inform you that the 44th FEBS Congress will be held in Krakow, Poland, from July 6th to July 11th, 2019. The theme of this year's Congress will be: "From molecules to living systems". The organizers, the Polish Biochemical Society and the Federation of the European Biochemical Societies (FEBS), are delighted to invite you to participate in the Congress. Poland will be hosting this prestigious event for the third time. Previous editions held in our country took place in 1966 and 2004. The upcoming event will be a chance to review the current trends for further development of biochemistry and related fields. The 44th FEBS Congress will take place at the modern ICE Congress Center, located in the very heart of Krakow. The 37 sessions will encompass 5 parallel sections as well as several poster sessions. Moreover, a specialized exhibition will also be organized. Plenary lectures will be delivered by eminent scientists representing various fields of molecular life sciences, who have already kindly confirmed their participation. Among them there are two Nobel Laureates: Andrew Z. Fire (Stanford) who will deliver the Opening Lecture and Venkatraman Ramakrishnan (Cambridge, UK) who will honor us with the Closing Lecture.
