The International Federation of Nematology Societies aims to foster communication among nematologists worldwide, through national and regional nematology societies. It also aims to enhance overall awareness of nematodes and the science of nematology. A key element in this is facilitating and promoting information exchange, e.g. through the International Congress of Nematology. [Information of the supplier]

Rotifera represents a phylum of about 2000 species of microscopic aquatic animals, whose length ranges between 80 and 1000 μm. Marine rotifers occur in both plankton and benthos, where they may significantly contribute to the total biomass, and play a key role in the energy transfer process. According to a recent review, in saltwater habitats there are 443 rotifer taxa at either specific, subspecific and infrasubspecific rank, corresponding to 391 nominal species, which corresponds to about 20% of ... I am interested in the structure and evolution of animal genomes, with a particular focus on the genomes of non-model organisms. In my group, we use modern sequencing technologies to generate expressed sequence tag and genome sequence data for non-vertebrates (such as earthworms, nematodes and tardigrades), and analyse these with a variety of bioinformatics tools (including many we have written in house). In particular we are interested in the evolution of operons and trans-splicing in nematodes, ... [Miscellaneous as indicated]

This WWW site is designed as an aid for nematode identification and systematic research, as well as a general resource for the science of Nematology. The emphasis is on plant parasitic nematodes and insect parasitic nematodes . The molecular diagnostic protocols are those used in the laboratory, some designed by us, and others adapted from the literature. One major effort is the characterization of plant parasitic nematodes from the northern great plains of North America. Also you will find documents ... [Information of the supplier, modified]

RNAi Database provides comprehensive access to publicly available RNAi phenotypic data from the worm Caenorhabditis elegans. RNAiDB provides raw data (in the form of images and movies), annotated phenotypes, graphical gene maps, analysis of potential off-target gene inhibition, and tools for searching and mining phenotypic data. This database - an illustrated online catalog of the Rotifera in the Academy of Natural Sciences - contains 1,975 records from the 1,935 slides in the Rotifer collection, including 1,228 images covering 730 taxa in the collection. This is a report from the collection database on 2003 April 1. This reflects the entire rotifer holdings of The Academy, the worlds most comprehensive collection of rotifers on microslides. This catalog was compiled with funding from the John J. and Anna H. Gallagher Fellowship ... [Information of the supplier, modified]

The Society of Nematologists is an international organization formed to advance the science of nematology in both its fundamental and economic aspects. To serve this purpose, the Society of Nematologists acts as an agency for the exchange of information, holds regular meetings, and promotes and extends knowledge in all phases of nematology. The Society operates on a nonprofit basis exclusively for the accomplishment of these educational and scientific goals. [Information of the supplier]
