The database currently comprises 185773 names of african plants with their nomenclatural statuts (as of April, 2010). Data capture, edition and broadcast are the product of a collaboration between the South African National Biodiversity Institute, the Conservatoire et Jardin botaniques de la Ville de Genève, Tela Botanica and the Missouri Botanical Garden. Data are based on different sources for Tropical Africa (J.-P. Lebrun & A. L. Stork 1991-2010. Enumération des plantes à fleurs d'Afrique tropicale ... [Information of the supplier, modified]

This series of pages is a set of characterizations of all orders
and families of extant angiosperms (flowering plants) and gymnosperms, i.e.
all seed plants, as well as many clades grouping families and orders and
some smaller clades, especially within larger families. They are designed
to help in teaching seed plant phylogeny at a time when our knowledge of
the major clades of seed plants and the relationships within and between
them are still somewhat in a state of flux, even ... [Information of the supplier, modified]

The Berlin Model is based on the IOPI model and various later implementations of the basic principles laid out therein. It fully incorporates "potential taxa" (taxa as circumscribed by a reference) as well as the full complexity of botanical names according to the rules of botanical nomenclature. Actually the Berlin Model is implemented as a SQL Server 2000 database.
The Berlin Model is addressing botanical data, but should serve for zoology as well, with some changes in the names section and the ... [Information of the supplier, modified]

The database includes over 3000 entries giving an exhaustive nomenclatural synopsis of all Carnivorous Plants. The following genera are treated as being carnivorous here: Aldrovanda, Byblis, Cephalotus, Darlingtonia, Dionaea, Drosera, Drosophyllum, Genlisea, Heliamphora, Nepenthes, ... Euro+Med PlantBase ("the information resource for euro-mediterranean plant diversity") provides an on-line database and information system for the vascular plants of Europe and the Mediterranean region, against an up-to-date and critically evaluated consensus taxonomic core of the species concerned. After several years of planning, the project is now firmly underway. The first stage of the project (referred to as Phase One) has been financed for three years by the European Union under Framework V. ... [Information of the supplier, modified]

The List of Vascular Plants of Germany contains the accepted names of taxa found in Germany, information on hybrids, status of occurrence as well as information on the emphases of scientific names. In addition, further data are being gradually incorporated: synonyms in floristic literature, distribution in the states, German names as well as citations for first descriptions. Version 1 was published on 4th February 2010. The list of the German flora is being updated. The data will remain unchanged ... [Information of the supplier, translated and modified]
