Um zukünftige Forschungsprojekte zu diesem Thema unter Wissenschaftlern, die sich für den durch die DD-Superfamilie vermittelten Stoffwechselweg interessieren, voranzutreiben, haben wir die Death-Domain-Datenbank entwickelt, eine manuell kuratierte Datenbank, deren Ziel es sein soll vergleichende Informationen zu PPI (Protein-Protein-Interaktionen) der menschlichen DD-Superfamilie bereitzustellen. Die aktuelle Version der Datenbank enthält 175 PPI-Paare unter 99 DDs durch die Kuration von 295 durch Fachleute überprüfte Publikationen. Die Datenbank enthält eine detaillierte Zusammenfassung von PPI-Daten, die in 3 Kategorien aufgeteilt werden können: Interaktion, Charakterisierung und funktionelle Rolle.
