Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the IPCAT conference series, IPCAT 2015 aims to bring together researchers from the biological, physical, computational and mathematical sciences who have a common interest in the nature of biological information processing. We welcome both those who are interested in understanding biological systems and those who are interested in applying biological principles within artificial systems. This year's conference will take place in the biomedical hub city of San Diego, California. ... [Information of the supplier]
On behalf of the Czech Society for Cell Biology, I would like to invite you to attend, and present your work at the 12th International Congress of Cell Biology . The congress, held under the auspices of the International Federation for Cell Biology, will take place 21 - 25 July 2016 at the Prague Congress Center, Prague, Czech Republic. The aim of the congress is to offer a unique opportunity for sharing selected aspects on the latest evidence-based research findings and applications. Also, the congress is a stimulating forum for professional development and establishing fruitful global and regional collaboration. Newly integrated into the congress program are the academic, scientific, and corporate project development day, the exchange and career fair for students, the industry training center, and new innovative congress technologies for delegates. More than 80 invited speakers will attend the congress and we expect more than 2000 participants. Our hope is that many young scientists, especially PhD. students and postdoctoral fellows, will attend and share their perspectives. After all, the younger generation represents the promise of the field. The congress theme, “Exploring cellular structure and function” recognises the key role that cell biology plays in the management of deeper understanding of the tissues and organisms that cells compose. We have done the utmost to create a program in line with the theme. Prague is a charming city situated in the very heart of Europe. It has a rich history, magnificent architecture, and a unique culture. The region of Prague is an important center of research with several universities and the majority of institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Please join us for the International Congress of Cell Biology 2016 in Prague. ... [Information of the supplier]
IFCB (International Federation for Cell Biology) and APOCB (Asian Pacific Organization for Cell Biology) are the two primary international organizations for cell biology and their mission is to foster cell biology research and Cell Biology Societies in countries across the world. The 13th IFCB congress and the 8th APOCB Meeting will be held in Hyderabad, India jointly with the Indian Society of Cell Biology (ISCB) along with its 41st annual meeting. This meeting also commemorates the 30th anniversary of Asian-Pacific organization for Cell Biology. This will be the first-ever joint meeting of these two International cell biology organizations, and will see cell biologists from across the world coming together to showcase and discuss their work. Sessions on cell biology education, what a career in cell biology means, scientific writing and ethics are also planned. Latest tools available to cell biologists will also be discussed and showcased. Corporate sector that helps cell biology research by manufacturing/distributing equipment & resources, will play an active part in showcasing their latest products. Highlights are mini symposia, and a special session to commemorate discovery of GPI anchors. It is also proposed to host pre and post-conference satellite meetings in other cities of India. ... By the time scientists arrive in San Diego in December 2015, an estimated 40,000 papers on cell biology will have been published since the 2014 meeting. Even more data will be available on imaging, protein structures, genomics, gene expression, and more. Our challenge is to convert this information into meaningful knowledge to understand how cells work. The 2015 ASCB meeting overarching theme is about making connections at different scales, from the intracellular level to the tissue level, to the organism level all the way up to the macrocosmic level, all in the light of big data and information integration. This integration will help us ask the right questions and find answers to the challenging problems in medicine, living systems, and ecosystems. Cell biology is increasingly relevant not only to those who think of themselves as cell biologists but also to more specialized researchers in neuroscience, immunology, cancer biology, synthetic biology, biophysics, molecular medicine, and more. ... As in previous years, the Meeting will currently be organized as a Joint Meeting of the STS with signaling study groups of the German Societies for Immunology (DGfI) and Cell Biology (DGZ), the Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM), the German Society for Pharmacology (DGP). If other organizations are interested in joining the STS-Meeting, please contact the current President Prof. Dr. Klaudia Giehl. Also as in previous years each workshop will start with an introductory keynote talk given by a renowned expert in the respective field of research. All other oral contributions will be selected from submitted scientific contributions. Of note, all poster authors will have the opportunity to present their work to the plenum in the frame of the traditional “one minute - one transparency sessions“. Details on this years’ special focus, workhops and keynote speakers will be provided soon. ... [Information of the supplier]
