Omics studies, such as those of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, epigenomics and metabolomics, have accumulated a large volume of biomedical data. However, the promise to translate these “big data” into biomedical knowledge can be realized only if they are standardized to be interoperable, complete to ensure data integrity, and consistent in data content. Biocuration provides tools and procedures critical in realizing the promise. International Biocuration Conference (IBC) is the global discussion platform for biocurators, bioinformaticians, data scientists, as well as any biomedical researchers and practitioners who care about data quality and interoperability, and interested in the exploration of a great application potential by data-driven knowledge discovery It is our great pleasure to announce that the 8th International Biocuration Conference (IBC) will be held in April 23-26, 2015, at Beijing Friendship Hotel, Beijing, China. The newly assembled Organizing Committee, consisting of not only local organizers, but also of members from Executive Committee of International Society for Biocuration and the 7th IBC Organization Committee, will start to work out the details to repeat previous success in the delivery of great scientific program, intuitive and functional logistics. ... The International Society for Ecological Modelling (ISEM) promotes the international exchange of ideas, scientific results, and general knowledge in the area of the application of systems analysis and simulation in ecology and natural resources management. The Society was formed in Denmark in 1978—following the journal Ecological Modelling, which was formed in 1975—and today has chapters in Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa. ISEM sponsors conferences, symposia, and workshops that promote the systems philosophy in ecological research and teaching, and in the management of natural resources. This global conference is the 20th biennial conference of the Society and looks to bring together scientists from all professions and applications that deal with the use of ecological models and systems ecology. The conference will feature prominent keynote speakers, special symposia arranged by leading scientists, general oral and posters sessions, as well as preceding short courses and opportunities for field excursions following the conference. Delegates will have the choice to submit abstracts to the special symposia or the general sessions. Conference papers will be considered for a special issue in the journal Ecological Modelling. ... A collaboration between Cell Press, UCSF, and MIT, this conference brings together leading thinkers in technology, biology, and data science for an innovative two and a half day meeting dedicated to the burgeoning research areas where these three fields are intersecting. The meeting will be held from October 9–11, 2016 at The Claremont Hotel Club and Spa in Berkeley, California. Fostering collaboration and cross-disciplinary discussions will be a key theme, so in addition to short scientific talks, attendees will be treated to on-stage interviews, panel discussions, and plenty of in-person social and networking opportunities with each other and the invited speakers. Sessions will focus on technologies for multifaceted measurement of biological systems, computational data analysis and integration, understanding molecular mechanisms, perturbing and engineering biology, applications to disease and medicine, and commercial applications. Topics ranging from systems and synthetic biology, digital healthcare, cancer, genomics, immunology, biological engineering, microbiology, and cell biology will be covered, but anyone interested in interdisciplinary life sciences research and its applications should attend. ... The International Society for Ecological Modelling Global Conference 2023 (ISEM 2023), under the theme 'Ecological Models for Tomorrow's Solutions', will bring together scientists from all professions and applications that deal with the use of ecological models and systems ecology. At present, we intend to host The International Society for Ecological Modelling Global Conference 2023 onsite at the University of Toronto, Scarborough, Canada, 2-6 May 2023, to best facilitate in-person networking and learning. However, as the future situation regarding international travel remains uncertain, rest assured that should this conference be unable to take place in person, it can be changed to an online event. Should this change need to occur we will let you know as soon as we are able and your registration will be carried over to the online event, with a refund of any difference in registration fee. Should this not be appropriate for you at the time, we will be able to refund your registration, minus a cancellation fee. Should the organisers cancel the conference, you will be entitled to a full refund. ... [Information of the supplier]
