We are happy to announce that 2013 is the 10 year anniversary of DNA barcoding and we plan to celebrate this milestone in Kunming, China. The Chinese Academy of Sciences’ and Kunming Institute of Botany are pleased to be hosting this year’s conference. The conference will consist of four days of plenary and parallel sessions. Preconference events, such as discussion meetings focusing on advances in sequencing and informatics techniques will be held on the Sunday before the conference. There is also a Training Course associated with the conference (max 30 delegates). The African Centre for DNA Barcoding (ACDB), The International Barcode of Life Project (iBOL), The Department of Environmental affairs (DEA) and the University of Johannesburg (UJ) is proud to announce and welcome delegates to our hosting of the 7th International Barcode of Life (iBOL) Conference, 20 – 24 November 2017. This is the first time that this event will be held on the African continent. The venue for the hosting of this prestigious event will be the Nombolo Mdhluli Conference Centre, Skukuza, located within the heart of African wildlife, the Kruger National Park, South Africa.
