(B) Captions (List View): Die Suche erfolgt in Abbildungsunterschriften bzw. Tabellenüberschriften; Ergebnisdarstellung in Listenform. ... [Information des Anbieters, übersetzt]
The field of immunometabolism has thrived over the last decade, revealing not only the major roles played by immune cells in metabolic homeostasis but also the impact of metabolic pathways on immune cell function. As new discoveries continue to reveal the intricate links between immunology and metabolism, a key question arises: will our accumulated knowledge on immunometabolic deregulations translate into novel therapies for human diseases? During this Cell Symposium, you will hear about the latest advances in immunometabolism from physician-scientists, basic researchers and industry leaders. We will discuss how local and systemic metabolism are integrated at the cellular level to regulate immune cell function and we will focus on how novel insights into immunometabolism can be harnessed to advance and/or bolster therapeutic interventions in metabolic diseases, inflammation, autoimmunity, and cancer. ... Big data analytics is transforming biology and medicine by allowing researchers to extract more information and knowledge from rapidly growing diverse types of data. This India-EMBO Symposium focuses on the translational interface of big data with biomedicine at various scales ranging from microbes to societies. The meeting, other than summarizing the potential of such applications and practical challenges therein, will specifically discuss the different requirements and the need for calibrating big data analytics to the larger purpose of the "actionable information." A computational model for prioritizing drug candidates that will undergo further pre-clinical and clinical testing, vastly differs in terms of error tolerance, from the use of large datasets to form public health policy evidence. Specifically, the "actionability" of any insight would be guided by pragmatic concerns and ethics, which vary between applications. Thus, the emphasis will be to form a well reasoned articulation ...
