The Vienna Coleopterists Society (WCV) is an international association supporting coleopterology. Moreover, it is an important task of this society to assist in solving problems of nature conservation and habitat protection. The WCV has been founded in 1906 by Adolf Hoffmann and is the world's oldest coleopterological association.
