This Tropical Ocean Coral Bleaching Indices web page is designed by NOAA Coral Reef Watch to provide near-real-time information on thermal stress that induces coral bleaching for 24 selected reef sites around the globe. The information is extracted from near-real-time satellite. [Information of the supplier]
The mission of the Coral Health and Monitoring Program is to provide services to help improve and sustain coral reef health throughout the world. Our long term goals are: establish an international network of coral reef researchers for the purpose of sharing knowledge and information on coral health and monitoring; provide near real-time data products derived from satellite images and monitoring stations at coral reef areas; provide a data repository for historical data collected from coral reef areas; add to the general fund of coral reef knowledge. ... This website is a compilation of publications concerning taxonomy, nomenclature, and geographic distribution of extant hexacorallians - members of cnidarian orders Actiniaria (sea anemones in the strict sense), Antipatharia (black corals), Ceriantharia (tube anemones), Corallimorpharia (sea anemones in the loose sense), Ptychodactiaria (sea anemones in the loose sense), Scleractinia (hard or stony corals), and Zoanthidea (sea anemones in the loose sense). The project was funded largely by US National Science Foundation grants DEB95-21819 and DEB99-78106 (in the program PEET - Partnerships to Enhance Expertise in Taxonomy) and supplements in the REU program (Research Experience for Undergraduates) to Daphne G. Fautin, and grant OCE00-03970 (in NOPP, the National Oceanographic Partnership Program) to D.G.F. and Robert W. Buddemeier. ... [Information of the supplier, modified]
The Conference is the 16th in the series of the international meetings held every three years within the International Bryozoology Association (IBA). It is expected to be attended by a large number of IBA members as well as by all people interested in bryozoology and any related topic. Several disciplines are involved in the fields of biology, palaeontology, taxonomy, ecology and palaeoecology, carbonate production, global change, ocean acidification, physiology, parasitology, and even medicine. This is the second time that Italy hosts an IBA Conference, after the first one organised by Enrico Annoscia in 1968 in San Donato Milanese. The International Bryozoology Association was established by a small group back in 1965 within an informal meeting in Stockholm, to encourage research and promote exchange of ideas on the Bryozoa. The association presently brings together nearly 200 researchers of everything to do with Bryozoans, from over 40 countries across the globe. ... [Information of the supplier]
The IBA 2019 focuses on bringing together academic scientists, researchers and students to exchange and share experiences and research results about all aspects of Bryozoa life. IBA offers a burgeoning field of study as it consists of diverse scientific topics including, but not limited to, taxonomy and systematic of fossil and living bryozoans, their ecology, evolution, response to climatic changes and the history of research. The conference is the premiere forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in the all fields of bryozoan studies. ... [Information of the supplier]
AGRICOLA (AGRICultural OnLine Access) serves as the catalog and index to the collections of the National Agricultural Library, as well as a primary public source for world-wide access to agricultural information. The database covers materials in all formats and periods, including printed works from as far back as the 15th century. The records describe publications and resources encompassing all aspects of agriculture and allied disciplines, including animal and veterinary sciences, entomology, plant sciences, forestry, aquaculture and fisheries, farming and farming systems, agricultural economics, extension and education, food and human nutrition, and earth and environmental sciences. Although the NAL Catalog (AGRICOLA) does not contain the text of the materials it cites, thousands of its records are linked to full-text documents online, with new links added daily. ... ALTBIB: Bibliography on Alternatives to the Use of Live Vertebrates in Biomedical Research and Testing - The intent of the bibliography is to assist in identifying methods and procedures helpful in supporting the development, testing, application, and validation of alternatives to the use of vertebrates in biomedical research and toxicology testing. This bibliography is produced from MEDLARS database searches, performed and analyzed by subject experts from the Toxicology and Environmental Health Information Program (TEHIP) of the Specialized Information Services Division (SIS) of the National Library of Medicine (NLM). ... Our objective is to provide free access for all scientists to the old zoological literature, particularly to those important publications where name-bearing zoological taxa were originally described. The literature is digitized in image format by the SUB Göttingen (our university library). In a first 2-year period (2003-2005) financed by the DFG we have digitized nearly all taxonomically relevant zoological literature from the beginnings until 1770 (about 400 works). Only some 5 % of the literature is not present in Göttingen and we are currently trying to obtain some works from other libraries. In a second 2-year-period we will try to cover the period from 1770 to 1800. Monographic works and journal articles shall both be digitized. The AnimalBase database is primarily established to link the old literature with the names of the animals described therein. We have continuously gone through the old works, from 1757 onwards, and entered all correctly described new animal names (genera and species taxa) by hand according to a standard established by our working group. (...) AnimalBase is a service provided by the University of Göttingen, Germany. Our work is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG. This page is under construction and we apologize for things not yet working perfectly. ... [Information of the supplier, modified]
