The Anthropological Index Online is based on the journal holdings of The Anthropology Library at the The British Museum (formerly Museum of Mankind) which receives periodicals in all branches of anthropology, from academic institutions and publishers around the world. The data is (c) RAI and use is permitted for educational non-commercial purposes (including private study). Regular or heavy educational/academic use is licensed by the payment of a subscription. ... Based on the mapping of the human genome and the development of information databases, a broad description of genes transcribed in blood cells is now known. Hembase was developed to provide worldwide access to those genetic-based studies performed by scientists in the Molecular Biology and Genetics Section, Molecular Medicine Branch, Division of Intramural Research, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). This project represents the shared goal of several individuals and groups (credits) interested in disseminating genomic information on the World Wide Web. ... [Information of the supplier]
Sequencing of the human genome has opened the way and provided the impetus for building a comprehensive picture of a mammalian cell. Significant efforts are underway in the fields of genomics and proteomics to identify all genes and proteins in a given organism. The goal is a complete map of the genes, gene products and their interaction networks in a functioning cell. The next step in establishing a comprehensive picture of a cell will be to tie the cell's metabolome into the rapidly developing genomic and proteomic maps. A cell's metabolome, however, is such an enormous and complex entity that characterizing it can only be approached in sections. This consortium is now proposing to focus on the lipid section of the metabolome by developing an integrated metabolomic system capable of characterizing the global changes in lipid metabolites ("lipidomics"). Our consortium has developed a Lipid Metabolites and Pathways Strategy, termed LIPID MAPS, that applies a global integrated approach to the study of lipidomics. ... [Information of the supplier]
This database is a catalog of human genes and genetic disorders authored and edited by Dr. Victor A. McKusick and his colleagues at Johns Hopkins and elsewhere, and developed for the World Wide Web by NCBI, the National Center for Biotechnology Information. The database contains textual information and references. It also contains copious links to MEDLINE and sequence records in the Entrez system, and links to additional related resources at NCBI and elsewhere. ... [Information of the supplier]

The Reactome project is a collaboration among Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, The European Bioinformatics Institute, and The Gene Ontology Consortium to develop a curated resource of core pathways and reactions in human biology. The information in this database is authored by biological researchers with expertise in their fields, maintained by the Reactome editorial staff, and cross-referenced with the sequence databases at NCBI, Ensembl and UniProt, the UCSC Genome Browser , HapMap, KEGG(Gene and Compound ), ChEBI, PubMed and GO. In addition to curated human events, inferred orthologous events in 22 non-human species including mouse, rat, chicken, puffer fish, worm, fly, yeast, two plants and E.coli are also available. A description of Reactome has been published in Genome Biology. ... [Information of the supplier]
