We are very pleased to invite you to the forthcoming Mid-Year Meeting of The Crustacean Society (TCS), jointly hosted by the International Association of Astacology (IAA). The Crustacean Society was established more than three decades ago to bring together enthusiasts in all fields of crustacean research from around the world. Similarly, the IAA, dedicated to the study, conservation and wise utilisation of freshwater crayfish. The conference will be held at the Australian Museum, Sydney, Australia, from 19–23 July 2015 and will be the first TCS meeting in Sydney and the first IAA regional meeting in eastern Australia, a centre of freshwater crayfish diversity. ... Our goal is to understand the relationships of sphaeromatid genera, identify generic and subfamilial groupings and develop phylogenetic hypotheses that can provide a sound basis for future biogeographic, mating-system evolution, ecological, behavioral, and other studies. Our investigation will be guided by morphological and molecular analyses of evolutionary relationships within this family (Crustacea: Isopoda: Sphaeromatidae). ... [Information of the supplier]
Dear professors, researchers, graduate and undergraduate students and general public interested in the study of crustaceans, on behalf of the Sociedade Brasileira de Carcinologia it is a great pleasure to invite you to participate in our IX Congresso Brasileiro sobre Crustáceos – IX CBC (9th Brazilian Crustacean Congress), which will be hosted by the Regional University of Cariri (URCA) and held in Crato, Ceará State, Brazil, from November 6th to 9th of 2016. The congress will be realized at Cariri Convention Center, which has all facilities necessary for the completion of the meeting. The theme chosen for the IX CBC is "Crustaceans Biodiversity: Evolution and Conservation Challenges". The Organizing Committee is strongly committed to prepare a high-level and attractive Scientific Program that will cover all of the major disciplines of Carcinology. ... [Information of the supplier]
Every three years since 1981 the World Association of Copepodologists (WAC) holds an international conference called the International Conference on Copepoda or the “ICOC.” These have become the most important global gatherings for all researchers and students of copepods. Each conference gives participants the chance to meet fellow researchers, talk with students and experts, borrow material and plan collaborations. Each meeting is unique, teeming with the individuality and culture of the host nation. The next ICOC will be in 2017 in Los Angeles, CA, USA at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium and DoubleTree Hotel in San Pedro. We are expecting 250 attendees from all over the world. ... The meeting will be hosted by the University of Veterinary Medicine(UVM) and by the Hungarian Museum of Natural Sciences in Budapest. The main organisation activity is undertaken by the Hungarian Biological Society. The symposia series on the biology of terrestrial isopods aims to share our up-to-date scientific knowledge on Oniscidea. The first symposia in the series was held in London, UK, in 1983, which was followed by eight others: Urbino, Italy (1986); Poitiers, France (1990); Haifa, Israel (1997); Iraklion, Greece (2001); Aveiro, Portugal (2004); Tunis, Tunisia (2007); Bled, Slovenia (2011) and Poitiers, France (2014). This rich history provides evidence that the scientific community that has chosen “a somewhat extravagant group of organisms to work with” (as defined by H. Schmalfuss at the symposium in Bled) is very active and dynamic. We decided in Poitiers to hold the next meeting in Budapest, Hungary (2017). Diverse topics of presentation and discussion are encouraged, exploring the latest findings on woodlice, slaters, pill bugs, sow-bugs, roly-poly-s, landpissebedden, Asseln, ászka, pincebogár мокрици, γουρουνίτσες, δροσομάμουνα, etc. at all spatio-temporal scales. ... The 9th International Crustacean Congress (ICC IX) will be held May 22-25, 2018 in Washington D.C., with the opening session at the Smithsonian Institution Museum of Natural History. This will be the first time that an ICC has been held within the United States. The ICC 9 meeting is also co-hosted by The Crustacean Society and is dedicated to dissemination of all aspects of crustacean biology to local and international audiences. The ICC IX Organizing Committee is requesting ideas and leaders for symposia for this important meeting. Symposia can be half days or full days and can be on any broad topic associated with crustacean biology or related research whether basic or applied. ... [Information of the supplier, modified]
On behalf of the Organising Committee, I am honoured and delighted to welcome you to The Chinese University of Hong Kong which will host The Crustacean Society Mid-Year Meeting 2019. This will be the first time that a TCS meeting is held in Hong Kong. The meeting provides an international forum for meeting with colleagues and disseminating information on all aspects of crustacean biology. I would like to thank all our sponsors for their generous support which has made this conference possible. Recognition should also go to the International Advisory Committee members who have helped with many important aspects of the conference programme and social activities. I look forward to a pleasurable experience with our participants at Hong Kong in 2019. ... [Information of the supplier]

As we all know, copepods are one of the most important organisms on the earth as prey of commercially important fishes and invertebrates. Copepods are also one of the most socially problematic organisms for aquaculture as pests and for aquatic ecosystems as non-indigenous species. A more accurate understanding of copepods requires comprehensive knowledge from basic taxonomy to its ecology and utilization for fisheries and oceanography. These conferences have played a pivotal role to stimulate students, to get both experts and young generations together, to exchange information among copepodologists of all generations, and to promote future collaborations. ...
