We warmly welcome you to be a part of the 25th International Conference on Arabidopsis Research (ICAR), the largest annual international scientific conference devoted to Arabidopsis thaliana. The majority of breakthroughs in plant science in the last 25 years have relied on development of Arabidopsis thaliana as the reference for both research and international collaboration. The 2014 conference takes place in the beautiful Pacific Northwest at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. ... [Information of the supplier]
The aim of this EMBO Workshop is to support the development of new scientific concepts and experimental approaches for exploring the mechanisms, control and role of intercellular communication in developmental plant biology and crop diseases. The EMBO Workshop will be organized into the following sessions: - Structure and Regulation of Plasmodesmata - Plasmodesmata and Plant Development - Intercellular Transport of Messenger RNAs and Short RNAs - Plasmodesmata and Viral Disease - Direct Intercellular Communication Pathways in other Systems ... The oxygen evolving complex (OEC) of photosystem II is responsible for the formation of atmospheric oxygen. Cytochrome oxidase (CO) and related respiratory oxidases convert oxygen back into water as part of the respiratory processes that provide the energy for survival of most living organisms. The underlying redox chemistry of oxygen/water interconversion is complex and these enzymes have evolved unique mechanisms whose performance has yet to be achieved with (bio)mimetic chemical systems. Mechanistic and structural questions are common and yet the two enzyme systems are rarely discussed comparatively. The format of this Harden meeting is designed to bring together such expertise. ... On behalf of the Organizing Committee it is a great pleasure to invite you to the 2nd INPPO World Congress 2016 (INPPO2016 Bratislava) jointly organized by the International Plant Proteomics Organization (INPPO) and ‘Phenomen-all’ COST Action FA1306. INPPO was established in 2011 to advance the utilization of proteomics technology in plants as well as to create a way for plant proteomics researchers to interact, collaborate and exchange ideas. The aim of the EU Food and Agriculture COST Action FA1306 is to create a network of European scientists with expertise on phenotyping, various -omics areas and/or physiology to (re)discover tolerant varieties and to understand tolerance. The Congress will take place in Bratislava (Slovakia), a cosmopolitan city located 80 km from Vienna (Austria). The congress will be hosted by the Institute of Plant Genetics and Biotechnology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. All areas of plant proteomics will be covered keeping in mind the diversity of proteomics research in plant sciences. INPPO2016 Bratislava will bring together leading experts in plant proteomics from all over the world and provide a critical mass in proteomics technologies and applications on all aspects of plant proteomics and cellular phenotyping. The Congress will start on Sunday (September 4, 2016) with registration, poster mounting, evening lecture and welcome reception. Keynote lectures and round table discussions will help to discuss individual open questions with experts in the field including breeders. Scientific sessions with invited speakers and presentations selected from submitted abstracts will cover specific thematic areas in plant proteomics, cellular phenotyping, and systems biology related to physiological aspects (e.g. plant development and nutrition, interaction with environmental factors). Poster sessions will play a central role and provide the opportunity to discuss your results in more detail. Member gathering and committee meetings will be arranged. INPPO2016 Bratislava is a continuation of bi-annual meetings initiated in 2014 (INPPO2014 Hamburg), and that provides insight into the most recent advances in proteomics technologies and applications, such as gel-based and gel-free proteomics, mass spectrometry, including quantitative approaches and bioinformatics, post-translational modifications, protein-protein interactions and signaling, sub-proteomics (organelles, membranes, cell wall, etc.), functional proteomics and translational proteomics. An industry exhibition will present the latest products in proteomics technologies. Scientific journals publishing in the field of Plant Proteomics, such as Proteomics or Frontiers in Plant Sciences, will present latest publication strategies and standards in Plant Proteomics. ... The EMBO conference ‘The nitrogen nutrition of plants - Nitrogen2016’ will be the third international symposium on the nitrogen nutrition of plants, following Nitrogen2013 in Puerto Varas (Chile) and Nitrogen2010 in Inuyama-city (Japan) and the founder meeting Nitrogen2007 in Lancaster (UK). At a time when improved nitrogen use efficiency by crops is clearly identified as a major issue for sustainable agriculture, the main objective of this conference will be to review recent progress in the understanding of molecular, physiological and developmental processes involved in the nitrogen nutrition of plants. Nitrogen2016 will also aim at fostering exchanges and collaborations within the rapidly expanding scientific community interested in these topics. ... [Information of the supplier]
It is a pleasure to invite you to participate in The International Conference on Arabidopsis Research (ICAR) which will be held on 25-29 June 2018 in Turku, Finland. The International Conference on Arabidopsis Research is a yearly conference rotating between North America, Australasia and Europe. The ICAR2016 was held in South Korea and is followed by ICAR2017 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. The conference is centered on all aspects of modern plant biology using thale cress (Arabidopsis thaliana) as a model system. The conference regularly brings together over 800 scientists from all corners of the world for five days to discuss all aspects of molecular plant science from research on plant growth and development to improving plant tolerance to adverse environmental conditions. ...
