As the Chair of the Local Organizing Committee, it is my pleasure to warmly invite you to attend the SEH 19th European Congress of Herpetology and Ordinary General Meeting. The congress will take place between 18th and 23rd of September 2017 at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Salzburg, Austria. It is being hosted by the University of Salzburg, Department of Ecology and Evolution, supported by the Herpetological Working Group of the Natural Science Museum Haus der Natur Salzburg (HerpAG) and the Austrian Society of Herpetology (ÖGH). SEH-LogoEvery second year the SEH-European Congress of Herpetology provides an opportunity for scientists, conservationists and policy makers from Europe and abroad to get together and discuss current results and trends in the field of herpetology. The conference generally will include four plenary lectures, sessions on specific fields of herpetology, special sessions, workshops, the SEH Ordinary General Meeting and excursions, as well as a rich social programme. Austria is located in the heart of Europe and therefore has a very well connected transport system.
