Dear Colleagues, on behalf of the scientific committee it is my great pleasure to invite you all to the upcoming 110th Annual Meeting of the German Zoological Society (DZG). The meeting will be held from 12-15th September 2017 at Bielefeld University. As is the tradition at the DZG, the program of the annual meeting has been determined by the organizers in collaboration with the DZG study groups (Fachgruppen). Fourteen speakers have been invited by the study groups, ten speakers by the organizing committee. Together with over 90 short talks of participants this meeting will cover the full variety of zoological topics. In addition, there will also be two evening public lectures by eminent speakers; a neuroethology symposium organized by our local team that will run alongside the symposia of the study groups; as well as several satellite meetings. Registration with reduced fees (early bird registration) will be possible soon and until June 15 using the online registration portal. Have a look at our homepage to learn more about the schedule of the meeting, the invited speakers and the guidelines for abstract submission. There you will also find the full scientific program including the satellite meetings as well as useful information about available hotels in Bielefeld. We are looking forward to welcoming you in September. Klaus Reinhold
