Abstract: Protein interactions are a common theme spanning molecular and cell biological processes in biomedicine and biotechnology that underpin many areas of research. The Irish Area Section of the Biochemical Society (IASBS) Annual Meeting for 2015 brings together a range of Irish and international speakers to stimulate fresh perspectives and novel avenues of research for the molecular biosciences. Integrated with the meeting will be a special workshop on Education and Outreach activities showcasing expertise and ideas, and following the meeting is a one day Young Life Scientists symposium organised by and for postgraduate and early stage researchers. Session Themes: Chromatin and gene regulation, Cell signalling, Proteins as biomaterials, Modelling of protein interactions, Translational perspectives, Education and outreach.
