| Abstract: | The 11th topical meeting of the Ethological Society will take place at the German Primate Center in Göttingen. Göttingen has a long-standing tradition in anthropological and primate research. Based on the close collaboration between the Georg-August-University and the German Primate Center, Göttingen has become one of the leading centers for the study of primate behavior in Europe. We have assembled an international roster of speakers who explore the cognitive foundations of behavior and their evolution in a diverse array of taxa, including bees, birds and wolves. Contributions from researchers with a broad interest in the evolution of behavior and its cognitive foundations are welcome, particularly from PhD students and young postdoctoral fellows.
