| Abstract: | The German Conference on Bioinformatics (GCB) is an annual, international conference devoted to all areas of bioinformatics. Recent meetings attracted a multinational audience with 250 – 300 participants each year. The meeting is open to all fields of bioinformatics. GCB 2015 is organised by the bioinformatics groups of TU Dortmund, Ruhr-Universität Bochum and Universität Duisburg-Essen in cooperation with the joint special interest group Bioinformatics (gemeinsame Fachgruppe Bioinformatik, FaBI) of the German Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (DECHEMA), the German Society for Computer Science (GI), the Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM), and the German Chemical Society (GDCh).
