| Abstract: | Welcome to the 27th Conference of the Plant Population Biology Section (PopBio) of the Ecological Society of Germany, Austria and Switzerland (GfÖ), which will be held in Konstanz from 29th to 31st May 2014. PopBio is the annual international meeting for people working in the field of plant population biology and ecology. We will have two and a half days of exciting presentations. For those interested in visiting the largest nature reserve at the shore of Lake Constance, we also offer a half-day excursion to the local Wollmatinger Ried nature reserve. We have invited five top keynote speakers who will cover a diverse set of hot topics in plant population biology and ecology. Last but not least, on Friday night we'll gather for a conference dinner, with the Alps, Lake of Constance and the isle of Mainau as a glorious background to food and festivity. Mohamed Badawi and his band will bring along their drums. We, the Ecology group at the University of Konstanz, are very happy to invite you to Lake Constance and we are looking forward to your visit!
