Abstract: The 8th Annual Great Lakes Bioinformatics Conference (GLBIO) is the premier computational biology conference of the Great Lakes Region. Organized by ISCB and the Great Lakes Bioinformatics Consortium, this conference is a must attend in 2014. This meeting aims to solidify and expand a central role for the North American Great Lakes region in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. The conference provides an interdisciplinary forum or students, faculty, and researchers in academia, business, non-profit, and government labs to present, learn and discuss across a broad spectrum of bioinformatics topics. An important goal for the conference is to foster long-term collaborative relationships and networking opportunities within the domains of computational approaches to biology.
