We administer awards, produce two publications, and provide interconnection with other professional ornithological societies. We produce a tri-annual newsletter: Picoides. Our professional journal is Avian Conservation and Ecology. The journal is peer-reviewed, electronic, and entirely open-access. It is published jointly with Bird Studies Canada.
