Abstract: The Scoietà Entomologica Italiana was founded in 1869 and is one of the oldest scientific associations worldwide. Famous entomologists, as Giovanni Battista Grassi, Antonio Berlese, Filipp Silvestri and Guido Grandi, had been members. Two periodicals are published by the society: Bollettino della Scoietà Entomologica Italiana and Memorie della Scoietà Entomologica Italiana .
