Famous entomologists, as Giovanni Battista Grassi, Antonio Berlese, Filipp Silvestri and Guido Grandi, had been members. Two periodicals are published by the society: Bollettino della Scoietà Entomologica Italiana and Memorie della Scoietà Entomologica Italiana .
