Abstract: The British Myriapod and Isopod Group (BMIG) aims to promote the study of myriapods (Myriapoda) and isopods (Isopoda; woodlice and water-slaters). As from 2001 the Journal Bulletin of the British Myriapod Group and the Journal Isopoda are combined to become the Bulletin of the British Myriapod and Isopod Group. Tables of contents of all three periodicals are available. Additionally the society produces a newsletter, which is downloadable. Besides this web site gives hinds how to collect woodlice. Checklists of the British Myriapods and Isopods are also provided. The lists of the millipeds (Diplopoda) and isopods are linked with the database of the National Biodiversity Network (NBN) therefore it is possible to map the distribution of these groups.
