| Abstract: | The Nationalpark Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft is situated in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, at the coast of the Baltic Sea, between the Darss-Zingst Peninsula, the Isle of Hiddensee and the west coast of the Isle of Ruegen. Covering 805 square kilometers, the national park includes several islands and peninsulas with shallow waters in between, being the habitat of a highly specific fauna and an important resting place for water birds.
