Abstract: In 2009 Charles Darwin will be commemorated worldwide. The celebrations aim to honour the person who developed one of the most important scientific theories ever: The Theory of Evolution. Charles Robert Darwin was born in England on 12 February 1809; 50 years later (1859) he published his seminal work "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life". The international Darwin Year celebrates both the 150th anniversary of this innovative publication and the bicentenary of Darwin's birth. [Information of the supplier]
