Abstract: The Entomological Society of America (ESA) is the largest organization in the world serving the professional and scientific needs of entomologists and people in related disciplines. Founded in 1889, ESA today has more than 5,700 members. ESA offers journals that provide unsurpassed coverage of the broad science of entomology. The Society publishes four internationally acclaimed scientific journals, an annual comprehensive collection of short reports on preliminary and routine screening tests for the management of arthropod pests, a colorful, quarterly magazine, and a monthly member newsletter. The premier event of the Society is its Annual Meeting. Each year more than 2,000 entomologists and other scientists gather to exchange scientific information. Additionally, ESA offers employment opportunities that are advertised each month in the printed and online from a wide range of institutions and companies employing entomologists and individuals in related fields.
