Abstract: The Müritz National Park (Total area: 322 km²) in Germany represents a typical part of the wood and lakeland district of Mecklenburg. There are 107 lakes more than an hectare in size in the National Park and many ponds within the forests. With an area of 117 m² the Müritz is the second largest lake in Germany. A 500 m wide and 10 km long section of the eastern bank is part of the National Park. 75% are pine woods, something very special are the woodlands in the area Serrahn, partly a nature reserve before the foundation of the National Park. The visitor will be able to admire an ancient woodland what it perhaps looked like before man the management of the forest. [Information of the supplier, modified]
