| Abstract: | This database contains 1834 plant species which are, or were, present in the Karlsruhe administration district, and some neighbouring regions. About 1750 of them are illustrated; the pictures show various aspects of the plants (flowers, fruits, habit, etc.). In almost all cases these are digital photos that were specially made for the database from 2001 to 2005. Wherever possible pictures of regional populations in the Karlsruhe area were used. The first version of this database was published as a CD-ROM ("Die Pflanzenwelt des nördlichen Landkreises Karlsruhe", M. Hassler 2004) and can be obtained from Verlag Regionalkultur (Ubstadt-Weiher). [Information of the supplier, translated and modified] |
