This interactive guide is addressed to anyone who is interested in the flora of Estonia. It includes c. 1100 plant species (out of ca 1500 species recorded from Estonia), incl. several introduced woody species which are cultivated in parks and orchards. Some plants which are difficult to separate even for specialists are excluded from this key, e.g. many species of Alchemilla, Craetagus, Hieracium, Rosa, Salix, Taraxacum etc. Several very rare species are excluded as well from the present version. This guide was prepared within the project KeyToNature, in cooperation between the University of Trieste (Italy), the University of Tartu and the Estonian University of Life Sciences (Estonia). AnAge is a curated database of ageing and life history in animals, including extensive longevity records. AnAge was primarily developed for comparative biology studies, in particular studies of longevity and ageing, but can also be useful for ecological and conservation studies and as a reference for zoos and field biologists. To search AnAge please type keywords or phrases relating to the species or common name of the organism you wish to find. Terms at any taxonomic level are acceptable. The project anArchive for Botanical Data uses open-source software and is designed for institutions and individuals (both professionals and amateurs) to archive, retrieve and publish botanical data on the web or on a local network. Accessing to this web site public and registered users can fast and easily browse herbarium specimens collections and vegetation data. In herbaria section you can browse data stored in multiple herbaria and request loans. In vegetation you can search relevée of vegetation or plots and build comparative table and other structures. Hannah and Academy of Medicine collections in the history of medicine at the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library, University of Toronto. SIBA is an initiative from the Biodiversity Centre of the Institute for Andorran Studies to merge and allow easy access to the citation data of the flora and fauna distribution of the country. Because of its very own nature this is a dynamic project that grows continuously as new data arrives to our knowledge. This data is compiled from a very wide range of heterogeneous sources including the information generated by our own institutions, local enterprises, specialists or simply interested people that have made Andorran nature their main focus of attention. Animal Diversity Web (ADW) is an online database of animal natural history, distribution, classification, and conservation biology at the University of Michigan. Animal Diversity Web has: ¹ Thousands of species accounts about individual animal species. Our objective is to provide free access for all scientists to the old zoological literature, particularly to those important publications where name-bearing zoological taxa were originally described. The literature is digitized in image format by the SUB Göttingen (our university library). In a first 2-year period (2003-2005) financed by the DFG we have digitized nearly all taxonomically relevant zoological literature from the beginnings until 1770 (about 400 works). Only some 5 % of the literature is not present in Göttingen and we are currently trying to obtain some works from other libraries. In a second 2-year-period we will try to cover the period from 1770 to 1800. Monographic works and journal articles shall both be digitized. The AnimalBase database is primarily established to link the old literature with the names of the animals described therein. We have continuously gone through the old works, from 1757 onwards, and entered all correctly described new animal names (genera and species taxa) by hand according to a standard established by our working group.
