Per-per-use access

If you are looking for the latest updates of the bibliographic databases Biological Abstracts and Zoological Record and do not have free access via an institution (university, library, research institute) you are in the right place here. The older volumes of Biological Abstracts (to 2004) and Zoological Record (to 2007), financed through national licences, can also be directly searched in this service.

Conditions: you are not planning any commercial use, but are a user of non-commercial facilities (student, employee of a university or public facility), or are a private user resident in Germany.

Before the first use you must register with our partner subito e.V., who carries out the user administration and invoicing for us. If you are already one of their customers, you may use your access data for vifabio's pay-per-use access.

To keep the pricing simple, you receive an access ticket to the selected database for a fixed period of 12 hours (e.g. 09:35 – 21:35) and, during this period, can login and logout as often as you wish. The price of the ticket is 10 Euros for Biological Abstracts and 5 Euros for the Zoological Record.

You will receive an invoice from subito (within 6 weeks) for the use of the database, which may also contain charges for other subito services used (e.g. document delivery).
