The vifabio Calendar of Conferences and Congresses provides an overview of the most important upcoming events in biology, in chronological order. Only larger conferences and congresses of several days' duration are considered. Please take advantage of the options on the right-hand side to refine the list of events.
Over the 4 days of the conference there will be plenary and parallel sessions focusing on all facets of core facility operations, management and specific technologies of interest to core facility staff. Keynote talks will be given by 2001 Nobel laureate Paul Nurse and by Frances Weis-Garcia (President of ABRF). Poster sessions will be held to allow core scientists to present new developments in their technologies and a core facility marketplace area will also be available for facilities to promote their expertise and services. A Belgian beer tasting, guided boat trip through the city's canals and conference dinner in the old fish market will highlight the social program. CTLS2018@VIB aims to offer core facility staff and those interested in careers as expert scientists an opportunity to learn, network and forge alliances to strengthen core facility science throughout Europe. ... The meeting is open to all fields of bioinformatics and is meant as a platform for the German and European bioinformatics community. The upcoming GCB will be organised by the Austrian Bioinformatics Platform ATBI and will be held at the University of Vienna. The conference will focus on computation in life sciences and aims to showcase applications and opportunities beyond. Spearheading scientists will be presenting along with young researchers and industry representatives. The first day September 25 is reserved for workshops and satellite meetings. The main conference will take place from September 26-28. The schedule will allow for fly-in on Wed and fly-out on Fri. For the first time ever the GCB will be held outside of Germany.
