The vifabio Calendar of Conferences and Congresses provides an overview of the most important upcoming events in biology, in chronological order. Only larger conferences and congresses of several days' duration are considered. Please take advantage of the options on the right-hand side to refine the list of events.
The aim of this symposium is to bring together a diverse set of exercise physiologists, systems biologists, circadian biologists, nutritional experts, and other strategic leaders at the intersection of energy management in health and disease to accelerate the rate of our mechanistic understanding of the beneficial effects of exercise and its integration with nutrition toward tailored personalized medicine. ... We are pleased to inform you that the 44th FEBS Congress will be held in Krakow, Poland, from July 6th to July 11th, 2019. The theme of this year's Congress will be: "From molecules to living systems". The organizers, the Polish Biochemical Society and the Federation of the European Biochemical Societies (FEBS), are delighted to invite you to participate in the Congress. Poland will be hosting this prestigious event for the third time. Previous editions held in our country took place in 1966 and 2004. The upcoming event will be a chance to review the current trends for further development of biochemistry and related fields. The 44th FEBS Congress will take place at the modern ICE Congress Center, located in the very heart of Krakow. The 37 sessions will encompass 5 parallel sections as well as several poster sessions. Moreover, a specialized exhibition will also be organized. Plenary lectures will be delivered by eminent scientists representing various fields of molecular life sciences, who have already kindly confirmed their participation. Among them there are two Nobel Laureates: Andrew Z. Fire (Stanford) who will deliver the Opening Lecture and Venkatraman Ramakrishnan (Cambridge, UK) who will honor us with the Closing Lecture. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to warmly invite scientists from all parts of the world to join us at the 44th FEBS Congress, and we look forward to welcoming you in Krakow in 2019. ... Building on the collaborative research and discussions that were at the center of the 2017 Neuroimmunology Cell Symposium, the goal of this symposium is to explore the interface between the nervous and immune systems during development, homeostasis, and disease. The meeting will examine the mediators, mechanisms, and implications of neuro-immune crosstalk in the central and peripheral nervous systems. It will also cover emerging areas such as the neuronal regulation of peripheral immune function and the influence of the microbiota on the brain. We will bring together researchers from across the fields of neuroscience and immunology to facilitate discussion of exciting new concepts and developments in both fields. ... The symposium will bring together the leading developers of imaging methods with cutting edge applications that illustrate how imaging can answer biological questions. We will place emphasis on methods that are able to capture the dynamics of life, spanning the whole range from molecular resolution to imaging of whole organisms. Everybody interested in the latest imaging technologies and their applications in the life sciences should attend. The symposium provides many opportunities for presentations, discussions and interactions between students, postdocs, junior as well as senior investigators. ... [Information of the supplier]
The precise regulation of gene expression is necessary for organismal development, and changes in gene expression regulation underlie many evolutionary adaptations. Defective transcriptional regulation can lead to developmental disorders and disease. Through the combination of novel new technologies, genetics, evolutionary biology, biochemistry, and molecular, cell, and computational biology, many layers of transcriptional regulation have been uncovered and dissected. This meeting will address several of these areas, including basic transcriptional control, enhancer structure and function, chromatin packaging, epigenetics, and phase separation. We hope you can join us in Chicago, where we will bring together researchers in these various fields to hear the latest results that contribute to our understanding of the molecular mechanisms of transcriptional regulation and how these processes have evolved and contribute to development and disease. ...
