The Dutch Elasmobranch Society is pleased to host the 21st Annual European Elasmobranch Association Scientific Conference from 12-14 October in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We hope to meet you at a stimulating conference where the latest and greatest in elasmobranch research will be presented. In keeping with the EEA’s role of providing an interface between science and policy, we have chosen as an underlying theme for this year’s meeting:“The science you need for the policy you want” Conference sessions will cover: perspectives for spatial management; movement ecology; coherence in international legislation and policy; selectivity, survival, and discards of elasmobranchs in fisheries; and elasmobranch husbandry. We are proud to announce that Dr. Neil Hammerschlag, Dr. Robert Hueter, and Dr. Kim Friedman will be keynote speakers at the Conference. The three-day conference will be held at the grand building of the KIT Royal Tropical Institute, only a stone’s throw away from the city center with all its famous historical sites and landmarks, and within walking distance from the Amsterdam Zoo and several beautifully landscaped parks. Amsterdam is a popular destination in Autumn, so we advice everyone to make travel arrangements as soon as possible, as prices may rise over the summer. ... [Information of the supplier]
The 24th Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Elasmobranch Association is planned to be held by the Dutch member group Nederlandse Elasmobranchen Vereniging (NEV) in Leiden, the Netherlands between 3rd and 5th November, 2021. NEV, in consultation with the EEA Board, has decided to tentatively organise this year's EEA Meeting as an in-person meeting. Luckily, NEV was able of having secured the same prime venue at the fascinating Naturalis Biodiversity Center. Prior to the main meeting we will organise an online session on November 2nd to allow those who cannot attend in person to contribute. If an in-person meeting is not possible the entire EEA2021 will be online. ... [Information of the supplier]
